Esther has handled most breeds in the Gundog Group and many in other Groups. She has owned and successfully campaigned:

These included many titles of Champion, Grand Champion and Best in Show. With this experience, coupled with that of handling numerous other breeds from additional Groups on behalf of their owners, Esther is recognised as being one of Australia's experienced dog handlers. |
Highlights
Esther considers the pinnacle of dog handling career with Gordon Setters, was winning Runner Up to Best In Show, from an entry of 291 Gordon Setters at Gordons2000 (an International Gordon Setter Specialty Show held in England in 2000) with the Finnish owned (by Tiina Illukka) and Australian bred Triseter Ebonie Nerissa. (now deceased) As a 2 year old Nerissa won Res.CACIB at Helsinki W.W Show 1998
Nerissa's litter brother, Can, Am, NZ, & Aust Champion Triseter Ebonie Nirvana (now deceased) and his son 'Nike' (Am & Aust.Ch.Brodruggan Black Knight) both lived in the USA. Nirvana and Nike are co-owned (along with Esther), by Colleen O'Brien, Dorothy and George Hawke and Alison Rosskamp, Nirvana was successfully campaigned to his American and Canadian Championship titles in record time by part-owner/handler Colleen O'Brien and Kristin Karboski. Nike is now enjoying his retirement with Kristin and her family in Rhode Island.

Nirvana's and Nerissa's sire, NZ & Aust Grand Champion Triseter Black Vader (now deceased) In his time was the greatest winning Gordon Setter in Australia's history to date. He was loved and owned by Viv McLaughlin and handled by his breeder, Esther Joseph.

Prior to the win at Gordons2000, Esther had considered handling Finnish breeder, Tiina Illukka's "Int.Ch.Caballus Out Forablaze" Curly Coated Retriever to the prestigious victory of Best in Group, at the World Winners Show 1998, in Helsinki, Finland, as the pinnacle of a long dog showing career. |
